Dave resides in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and graciously agreed to be our speaker on short notice, which was very much appreciated.
Dave has been seriously growing and hybridizing daylilies since 2000. In 2001 he joined the Ontario Daylily Society and the AHS. Dave served as President of the Ontario Daylily Society for 5 years and is currently the Regional Publicity Director of Region 4. As if that isn’t enough, he also serves as the chair for the Can-Am Classic, which will have its 23rd annul meeting in May 2019.
Dave has 42 registered daylilies to date, with more planned for 2019. His primary hybridizing goal is to produce true spots and stripes in tetraploids, but admits to having many other interests that divert his attention. Don’t we all! A few members of the GSDG had the pleasure of hearing Dave’s presentation at Lilyhemmer last year and I imagine it’s only getting better. His latest daylily introductions are beautiful and unique.
